French law enforcement officers are investigating the beating of a 14-year-old girl. Three attackers were detained on suspicion of attempted murder.

As informs The Guardian, at the beginning of April near the territory of the local college, Samara received severe injuries as a result of the beating, after which she fell into a coma.

The day after the attack, the police detained the teenagers who beat the girl. It is established that all of them are 14-15 years old. One of the attackers confessed to the crime. The detainees studied at the same educational institution as the victim.

According to the prosecutors, the girl came out of the coma, but suffered “serious injuries” as a result of the beating.

French Education Minister Nicole Belloube ordered that departmental inspectors conduct an additional investigation.

On April 4, Samara’s mother in an interview told the Europe 1 radio station that her daughter had been bullied by other students for 2.5 years. The woman suggests that the reason could be the girl’s “un-Islamic” behavior and clothes.

“I really don’t understand the reason why these kids kept attacking Samara, but there is something. I think… it’s because she (Samara) is maybe a little more relaxed than some of the other students.”– Nassiba, the mother of the 14-year-old victim, shared her guesses.

The woman also accused one of the college students of “sponsoring” these attacks, saying that the girl had previously been suspended from classes. The reason for this was that the girl published a photo of Samara on the Internet with a call to rape her.

The country’s president, Emmanuel Macron, expressed solidarity with the victim and called for caution in drawing conclusions about the circumstances of the attack:

“At this stage, I would be cautious about categorizing things, and I want the whole truth to be established quietly, and conclusions will be drawn later.”
