In Kyiv, two employees of a well-known medical laboratory, the name of which has not been disclosed, stole confidential information about doctors and clients from the database. They will be tried for what they did.

The attackers wanted to get money from the management by blackmail, reported in the Main Directorate of the National Police in the city of Kyiv.

According to the investigation, the crime was committed by a man born in 1983 and a woman born in 1976. They copied confidential information about doctors and clients of the medical laboratory and forwarded it to themselves.

In the future, the attackers wanted to receive money from the institution’s management for not disseminating the stolen information.

The application for employees was written by representatives of the laboratory. During the searches, the police found the stolen data on the computers of the attackers.

They were informed of the suspicion under part 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – unauthorized actions with information that led to its leakage.

“Currently, all the evidence of the criminal actions of the offenders has been collected, and the indictment has been sent to the court. The suspects face imprisonment for a term of up to six years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.” – said the police.

We will remind, cyber police exposed a schoolboy who ran a channel with intimate photos of teenagers and demanded money for removal.
