In Kyiv, investigators reported the suspicion of a 43-year-old man who tried to rape a 12-year-old boy. As the police found out, the boy was resting with his parents in the Park “Partyzanska Slava” when he was attacked, Kyiv police reports. “Around 8:00 p.m., the child went to the toilet, which was located nearby. At that time, an unknown person followed him, forcibly pushed the minor into a cubicle and tried to rape him,” said law enforcement officers. A passer-by ran to the child’s screams and knocked on the cabin door. An eyewitness held the intruder and handed him over to the law enforcement officers, who detained him. The investigators informed him of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under part 2 of Art. 15, Part 4 of Art. 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempted rape committed against a person under the age of fourteen, regardless of her voluntary consent).
