In Mykolaiv, employees of the State Emergency Service rescued a dog that fell under the ice and could not get out on its own.

The dog fell into the water at a distance of 50 meters from the shore on the Ingul River in the central district of Mykolaiv, “Suspilne” reports.

As Illyana Patsyuk, the spokeswoman of the State Emergency Service in the Mykolaiv region, told in the commentary “UP. Life”, on January 15, the rescuers received a call from a woman who saw that someone needed help on the Ingul River.

Arriving at the scene, the rescuers saw a dog in the water, which was fighting for its life with its last strength.

“Specialists from the first department of the state fire and rescue unit took part in the rescue operation. The rescuers took an inflatable boat, got to the four-legged and pulled it out of the water.” – says Illyana Patsyuk.

According to her, after the four-legged man was dragged ashore, he ran away.

The animal fell under the ice and could not get out on its own

The dog fell under the water because the layer of ice that formed on the river was not strong enough, explains Illyana Patsyuk.

“Due to the fact that the air temperature does not drop below zero, the ice does not have time to freeze to the thickness at which it can be considered strong – at least seven centimeters. Therefore, rescuers warn not to go out on the ice and to be careful.” – says the spokeswoman.

It will be recalled that the bear from Yampol, which was rescued by the Armed Forces, settled in Scotland. Almost all 200 animals from the Donetsk zoo died due to shelling or starvation.
