In Rivne, 96-year-old signalman of the Ukrainian insurgent army Nataliya Kospa received a foreign passport for the first time and plans to fly to her granddaughter in the Netherlands. Nataliya says she was hardened during the Second World War, so she is sure that she will have “enough spirit” for the journey, Suspilne reports. Natalia became one of eight people over 90 years old who received foreign passports this year. The woman is the oldest. The woman says that she last traveled during the times of the USSR. I’ve read a lot of books, I know what, where and how. I will return to Ukraine, because I can’t be anywhere for a long time – I don’t want to die anywhere, only in Ukraine. Not those summers, to endure everything – the body will not be able, but the spirit will be enough,” the woman says. Natalia was a UPA liaison. For this, the Soviet authorities imprisoned her for two years, when the girl was only 17. The interrogation, the woman recalls, then lasted four days in a row.
