From December 9, the festive season begins at the Expo Center. This year, about 20 thematic locations, including new residents, are traditionally waiting for VDNG visitors.
Skating rink, Central Square of VDNG

One of the most popular outdoor VDNG winter locations. More than 2500 sq. m of ice, comfortable changing rooms, an ice track around the fountain and comfortable stands for spectators. This year, a neon Christmas tree was installed in the center of the rink, and hundreds of bright lights illuminated the location from above, making it even more romantic. Skates can be rented on site (rental is included in the price of the visit) or you can bring your own.
Immersive exhibition-tale of ice sculptures “The Snow Queen”, near Pav. No. 1
Who it is suitable for: for everyone who believes in fairy tales.
Price: from UAH 250.
A unique ice kingdom, created taking into account the smallest details. The exposition consists of 15 ice sculptures, the production of which took more than 100 tons of ice. Here you can see the majestic castle of the Snow Queen with walls 25 meters long and 3.5 meters high, walk through the blooming ice garden, which was created by 6 sculptors, and take part in a real winter fairy tale.

ILLUMINARIUM. The magic of light, the garden near the Orangery

Illuminated park of metal installations with LED lighting. Fairytale animals, mythical characters, magical trees and interesting abstractions up to 7 meters high. The highlight of the space is an illuminated wheat field with an area of 100 square meters. m. Holiday quests and games on weekends are provided for the little ones.

The fairy-tale manufactory of elves resumed its work at VDNG. Here you can not only explore the magical production of Christmas tree decorations, but also learn to realize your most cherished dreams, remember why you should believe in miracles at any age. At the end of the tour, each guest will have their own magic ball for the Christmas tree.
Dynosvit, Pav. No. 1
For whom it is suitable: for family vacations, fans of history and dinos.
Cost: from UAH 200; free of charge: orphans, people with disabilities; ZSU and UBD discounts upon presentation of a certificate.
A real prehistoric world inhabited by more than 20 moving and very realistic dinosaurs. They can growl if you come too close, but they will also allow themselves to ride. Next to the exhibition there is a cinema with films about the prehistoric era, as well as a trampoline area for the little ones.

Who it is suitable for: everyone who believes in Christmas miracles, small viewers, for filming Christmas TikToks and Reels.

Who among us has not at least once dreamed of sharing a secret wish with Santa in person? VDNG has such an opportunity. Little guests can meet elves, Kvus the toad and, of course, the main character of the holidays – Santa! And also — a real musical miracle and the opportunity to send the same letter.
Mavka Shaw, Pav. No. 9
Who is suitable for: small viewers.

A choreographic performance with elements of aerial gymnastics based on the top-grossing Ukrainian cartoon “Mavka. Forest Song”. Children will recognize cartoon characters in new images on stage. Everyone will be there: Mavka, Lukash, Kylyna, Zhabokyts Kvus and forest dwellers. The numbers are based on original soundtracks that have already been loved by the audience, so you will be able to sing along.

Greenhouse VDNG and KVITKOVA. Greenhouse
Who is suitable for: all those who love nature, large companies, for photo sets and filming spectacular TikTok and Reels.
Cost: entrance to the VDNG Greenhouse from UAH 90, entrance to KVITKOVA. The Greenhouse is free.
The greenhouse is a special place at VDNG. Plants from three climate zones are presented here, as well as a unique collection of plants planted more than 60 years ago. And among all this beauty in the middle of the cold winter, you can drink coffee, make an atmospheric photo set or arrange a romantic date.
Nearby is KVITKOVA. The Orangery is a warm bar, where delicious cocktails and other fragrant drinks are always prepared, and they also make sure that your evening is cozy, and visiting the Orangery is even more pleasant.
Museum of Science, Pav. No. 23
For whom it is suitable: for everyone, regardless of age.

The first state museum, where the most important scientific achievements of mankind, their laws and interaction are demonstrated in an understandable and accessible form. During the winter holidays, here you can train your balance on the snowboard simulator, imagine yourself as a super racer on the bobsleigh track and demonstrate the graceful movements of figure skating. And you can also try yourself as a commentator and, together with your friends, conduct a voice broadcast of events at winter competitions, and much more.
Universum Hall, floor no. 6
Who is it for: all music lovers and fans of silent films.
Price: from UAH 200. Funds from concert performances and film screenings go to support the 5th separate assault brigade of Kyiv.
A cultural space in which music is closely intertwined with history. Chamber performances, orchestral concerts, musicals and shows take place here. Charity screenings of silent films continue. An interactive exhibition of electric guitars and other electromusical instruments is constantly running near the hall. There is a lounge area and a comfortable bar for relaxation.
Animal Park, to the left of the central entrance
Who it is suitable for: for all those who love animals.

A place where you can always get to know nature a little closer. The goal of the project is to teach children and adults the culture of communication with animals. Goats, alpacas, llamas, rabbits and other cute creatures live here.

A summer fairy tale in the middle of winter. Real tropics in “Winter Country”. The only exhibition-farm of live butterflies in Ukraine, where they sit right on the palm of your hand and pose for bright photos of guests. It will be interesting not only for children, but also for adults.

Who it is suitable for: for all connoisseurs of beauty, for holiday photo sets and Christmas TikTok and Reels filming.

A picturesque blue house that has already become one of the main Instagram spots of VDNG. In winter, you can buy Christmas trees in pots, Christmas decorations, gift sets, herbal teas and spices here. You can buy coffee, tea and dessert, and of course, take amazing Christmas photos.

For whom it is suitable: for large companies, for family vacations, for filming interesting TikToks and Reels.

A unique attraction that is different from all the others – here you will find yourself inside a house where everything is turned upside down! From the first step, you feel that something is wrong: furniture and household items are located on the ceiling, and you yourself think that you are standing on your head. The house has everything you need for a good photo or selfie – every corner here is as photogenic as possible.
What about the food?
Traditionally, in winter, VDNG operates a large festive food court with a variety of barbecue dishes, hot dogs, sandwiches, khachapuri, derunas and other snacks. Desserts include apples in caramel, waffles and pies. A variety of mulled wines, cocoa, teas, branded liqueurs and grog will help warm you up. The following are responsible for the production of delicacies: “Meat Terrace”, “Creperia”, “Kurtosh Kalach”, “Meat Headquarters”, Bubble Waffle, “Real Chebureks”, “Patelnya” BBQ BAR.

Houses with various festive curiosities were placed right near the central entrance of VDNG. Here you can buy: handmade chocolate, natural candies, jam made from pine cones, toys and souvenirs, winter accessories and everything else that can be a great gift for the winter holidays.
“Winter Country” on VDNG has been running since December 9, daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
In the event of an air alert, the operation of the locations will be temporarily suspended, and guests are invited to go to the nearest insulated shelter operating on the territory.
