In Ukraine, the second sample of the bulletproof vest, adapted to the features of the structure of the female body, was certified.
Its ballistic characteristics do not differ from men’s, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.
The new model from the company “Temp – 3000” is equipped with shock absorbers for cushioning. They will help to “fit” the body armor to the anatomical features of each woman. The set includes three pillows of different sizes.
At the same time, the first approved women’s body armor from “Ukrainian armor” has only an outwardly curved armor plate.

An additional bag with a soft ballistic bag was also developed to protect the groin.
Body armor weighs from 10.5 kilograms – depending on the configuration.
His trial took place in two stages and lasted three months. Initially, the bulletproof vest was checked for the convenience of wearing it by military personnel. Then there was the stage of laboratory tests (ballistic, non-ballistic, testing of materials and fittings).
“More than 40,000 women serve in the Armed Forces. Our goal is to provide female defenders with bulletproof vests, primarily we are talking about female soldiers on the front lines.” – Deputy Minister of Defense Vitaly Polovenko said.
According to him, under the condition of pre-order, “Ukrainian Armor” can produce up to 10,000 sets of body armor in 60-90 days, and “Temp – 3000” company – 5,000 sets per month.
Both samples are available for centralized procurement. The Ministry of Defense expects data from the General Staff regarding the need to purchase these body armor.
It will be recalled that earlier volunteers independently launched the tailoring of women’s military uniforms, taking into account the peculiarities of physiology.
