Representatives of 12 Ukrainian museums began testing the prototype of the electronic registry system of the Museum Fund of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy. The working group included museum institutions of various profiles: historical, natural, archaeological, artistic, etc. Their experience will make it possible to take into account all the needs of modern museum workers during the development of basic software and create a convenient and useful electronic system of accounting for values. The museum staff will test the registry prototype, analyze the required functionality, and later provide their feedback and recommendations for future software. After receiving feedback from the museums, the developers will finalize the electronic system. Further, the MKIP will have the task of ensuring the registration in the system of all institutions that store objects belonging to the Museum Fund of Ukraine. The unification of museums in a single register will allow them to independently enter data on objects stored, restored, transported or lost in them. The electronic system will facilitate interaction with state and international systems and services for obtaining permits for the export of cultural values and the integration of Ukraine into the artistic community of Europe. Museum staff will help create a convenient and useful electronic system for accounting for valuables. And they added that over the past year, the need to digitize museum resources has become urgent, because shelling, looting and destruction of museums also destroy accounting documentation. The implementation of this project was started as part of the cooperation of the ICIP with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland and the Solidarity Fund PL in 2022. It is financed by the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. Read also: From Ukrainian art abroad, petrikovka and pysanky are known – the director of the Odesa Art Museum
