In Volyn, a 55-year-old man who molested three minor girls was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
The man committed lewd acts against children repeatedly during the year, according to the verdict of the Luboml district court of the Volyn region.
As part of the investigation, it was established that the man molested three girls aged seven, eight and nine between September 2022 and May 2023.
It is known that the accused exposed himself in front of the children and used his hands to excite his own genitals.
“Lewd acts of a sexual nature against minors aimed at satisfying one’s own sexual passion, as well as capable of causing physical and moral depravity of minors, which led to a violation of the normal mental and social development of children”the verdict says.

The judge found the man guilty of violating Part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code (corruption of minors) and sentenced him to five years and six months in prison.
The period he spent in the pretrial detention center during the investigation will be taken into account in the term awarded to him, the verdict states.
In addition, information about the convict must be entered into the register of pedophiles.
Previously, the man already had a criminal record for molestation of minors.
