Khudruk of the Kaluzhsky Novosibirsk Philharmonic was fired because of a denunciation

The Novosibirsk State Philharmonic has fired the artistic director Vladimir Kaluzhsky, who worked there for 30 years. As he himself reported, the reason for the dismissal was denunciation. Presumably, this is due to the fact that six months ago, Kaluzhsky planned to stage a concert based on the story of a Ukrainian writer at the Philharmonic.

According to Kaluzhsky, the Philharmonic eliminated the position of artistic director. In addition, she liquidated the department of children’s and youth music, where he taught. Kaluzhsky adds that, on the initiative of the mayor’s office, he is “not recommended” to work at the local art school, where he created the “World of Music” children’s theater 30 years ago, and that he receives hints that he should leave the city.

“We can explain” publication reported that the denunciation of Vladimir Kaluga was received in March 2023 from the “Novosibirsk Coordination Council for the Protection of Public Morality, Culture and Traditional Family Values.” Activists did not like the fact that Kaluga is gathering to put on a story-concert based on the book “Sam ty Handel” by the Ukrainian writer Maria Pustovit. The authors of the denunciation noted that Pustovit allegedly “cursed Russia and opposed the war.”

The denunciation also noted that Kalugasky’s son Nikolay “lives in Berlin, publishes anti-Russian posts on social networks, and the pope abuses him, that is, expresses his attitude.” As a result, the concert at the Philharmonic was canceled and replaced by another one.
