By the first half of 2023 in Ukraine there were 8 times more marriages than divorces.

In particular, over this period 86 thousand pairs got married, and 10 thousand – broke up. It is interesting that in the first half of 2022, the indicators were higher – more than 103 thousand couples legalized relationships.

How many Ukrainians were born, married or divorced – “UP. Life” was told by the Ministry of Justice.

However, statistics does not take into account data from temporarily occupied territories.

In general, in the first half of last year, more than 93 thousand births of children The most babies were born in Kyiv (9,801).

It took the second step according to birth statistics Lviv region (over 8 thousand children), and the third – Dnipropetrovsk (over 7 thousand).

Also, 9,292 marriages were concluded in the capital. More than 8.6 thousand couples got married in Dnipropetrovsk region, and more than 6.6 thousand – in Odesa region.

The number of divorces in Kyiv reached 1,678, and this is the highest rate among all regions. In second place is Dnipropetrovsk region, where more than 1,200 couples broke up their marriages.

Also, relatively many divorces were recorded in the Kyiv region (718).
