Last year, more divorces were registered in Ukraine than in 2022

During 2023, 6 thousand more divorces were registered in Ukraine than in 2022. At the same time, the number of marriages decreased.

This was reported by the Ministry of Justice, writes “Ukrinform”.

According to the Ministry of Justice, in 2023, Ukrainians entered into more than 186,000 marriages. At the same time, the number of divorces reached 24,100.

As for marriages, their number increased by 37,000 compared to 2022. At that time, almost 223 thousand of them were registered.

Despite this, there were fewer divorces in 2022 – 17.8 thousand.

The Ministry of Justice also announced statistics for the first month of 2024. So, in January, 9,800 new marriages were registered in Ukraine. And more than 2,000 people decided to break off their relationship at the official level.
