Ostap Brynskyi, an analyst of the charity fund “Patients of Ukraine” and a specialist in public procurement in the field of health care, was killed in the battle near Bakhmut in Donetsk region. On August 19, he came under mortar fire and received fatal shrapnel wounds, his wife, director of the Department for Personnel Development and Training of the Dobrobut Medical Network and ex-deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine (2019), Mladena Kachurets, reported. “He loved to live, knew how to notice something funny, ironic, beautiful even in everyday little things. The funeral will be held on August 24 at 12:00 in the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ on Maidan Sheptytskyi. Nataliya Drapak, Ostap’s friend, project manager of the Art Arsenal, recalled on her husband’s page how many years ago they celebrated the New Year together in the Carpathians and Ostap was in a spider costume. “We were so young and thought we would all live forever,” the woman wrote.
