After returning home from Russian captivity, Ukrainian citizens are in a difficult situation.

“The largest officially recorded weight loss of a person during 5 months of Russian captivity 77 kilograms”, – said Dmytro Lubinets, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for human rights, during his speech at the international conference on human rights “Freedom or Fear”.

According to him, in addition to prisoners of war, there are currently about 28,000 Ukrainian civilians in Russian captivity.

Retelling the story of the former prisoner, he said that Ukrainians in captivity were fed “something similar to dyed water.”
