Today, they will be seen very close to each other in the night sky, writes Space.
The pair will rise above the horizon at 16:00 GMT (11:00 PM Kyiv time) – since then the Moon and Jupiter will be separated from each other by less than 3 degrees.
Convergence occurs when the Moon revolves around the Earth. Last year, such a sight could be seen on December 26, during the last full moon of 2023.

This year, the Moon already passed Jupiter on January 18, and the next “meetings” are scheduled for February 14, March 13, and April 10.
It will be possible to observe the celestial giants even without a telescope. Jupiter will have the appearance of a bright pale yellow ball and will be located slightly to the left of the Moon.
We will remind, usually Earth and Jupiter are separated by approximately 714 million kilometers. And the Earth is on average 384 thousand kilometers from its satellite.
