The trailer of the Ukrainian drama “Butterfly Vision” directed by Maksym Nakonechny has been released. The film had its world premiere in Cannes and was a prize-winner at the Odesa Film Festival 2022. Nakonechny’s debut feature tells the story of an aerial reconnaissance aircraft with the call sign Butterfly. She manages to get out of Russian captivity and return to her family, friends and lover. However, the new life that a woman is trying to build brings new challenges. Nakonechny created the script for the film together with the writer, director, Sundance prize winner Iryna Tsylyk (“The Earth is blue, like an orange”, “Me and Felix”). Actress Rita Burkovska (“Parthenon” by Mantas Kvedaravičius) played the main role. In addition, playwright Natalka Vorozhbyt (screenwriter of the film “Cyborgs”, TV series “Catch Kaidash”, screenwriter and director of the drama “Bad Roads”) starred in one of the key roles. The world premiere of “The Vision of a Butterfly” took place at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, it was selected for the Special View competition program. In Cannes, the film’s team staged a grand event on the red carpet. Before the premiere of the film in the Claude Debussy Theater, an air raid alarm sounded. The film crew also held up signs with the symbol used to mark sensitive content on social networks and unfurled a poster with the inscription: “Russians are killing Ukrainians.
