The court opened an administrative proceeding regarding the declaration of illegality of the government’s decision on the voluntary refusal of a scientific degree. The resolution also refers to the demand to cancel this resolution. The Kyiv District Administrative Court filed a lawsuit against the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. In a few days, the Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi gave up his scientific degree. At first, NAZYAVO promised that its decision would not affect the examination of the dissertation, but two weeks later it was suspended. The Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation, Serhii Babak, also officially renounced the scientific degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences at the end of May 2023.
