The government has made a decision that will allow some male students to go abroad to participate in academic mobility programs. Previously, they were deprived of this right due to martial law.
About this reported Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi.
“Academic mobility programs are somewhat of a breath of fresh air for both students and universities. For students, this is an opportunity to temporarily go abroad for study or internship in order to gain new knowledge and experience. For universities, it is also a way to strengthen partnerships with foreign institutions.” – explains the minister.
According to him, the government’s decision concerns only students aged from 18 to 22 yearswho are studying full-time bachelor’s degree (or at the master’s degree in medical, pharmaceutical or veterinary fields).
To cross the border for the purpose of studying on academic mobility programs, you must have:
- e-ticket of the student;referral from an educational institution;
- a certified copy of the agreement with a foreign university on admission to the academic mobility program;
- military reference document from the TCC.
At the same time, the MES will not issue any special permits.
Oksen Lisovyi also noted that male students will be able to become participants in academic mobility programs for a period of time for one semester.
Formerly a committee of the Council kept in the draft law on the mobilization of post-graduate students.
