“I did my military service in the early 1990s, the land forces had already been divided, and the Black Sea Fleet was being negotiated between Ukraine and Russia, so there was confusion, it was unclear who would get what.

I was appointed to the position of operator of the control panel of surface-to-air cruise missiles with a flight range of 150 kilometers. Our unit was engaged in the protection of the ship”– recalls Serhiy.

He served on a cruiser for 3 years.

The military man recalls that the news about the sinking of the “Moscow” in April 2022 made him very happy.

“When I learned about the destruction of the “Moscow” by our rockets, and then also watched the video, the feelings were very pleasant. If I could, I would help sink it myself.” – says “Combiner”.

In the early 2000s, he participated in the Sea Breeze naval multinational exercise. Therefore, after the start of a full-scale war, he hoped to join the navy.

However, Serhii was sent to the mountain infantry – to the 128th OGSHBr.

“Here I am the commander of a combat vehicle, the commander of a detachment, a junior sergeant. I received this rank after the storming of Pyatikhatok and Lobkovo in the summer of this year. Those were very fierce clashes, close combat with the use of machine guns and grenades. But we knocked the enemy out of positions, and then liberated the villages. The Russians tried several times to recapture the lost territory, threw both infantry and armored vehicles at us. All in vain.” – says the fighter.

Before the war, Serhiy worked as a combine harvester in one of the agricultural companies, which is why he got his call sign.

At home, a wife and three children are waiting for the soldier – two sons and a daughter who is only three years old.

We will remind you that earlier we told the story of a combat medic on pseudo “morphine”.
