The Hubble Space Telescope photographed a cosmic “bubble” – the Caldwell 11 Nebula, which seems to be floating on a cloudy sky background.

The image was taken by the telescope’s wide-angle camera, writes NASA.

Colors indicate different elements:

▲ blue – oxygen;

▲ green – hydrogen;

▲ red – nitrogen.

Caldwell Nebula 11, or NGC 7635, is an emission nebula, a cloud of gas that emits its own light.

Across the nebula extends for six light years. The image shows how stars shine all over its field.

According to scientists, inside the bubble there is a star whose mass is 15 times greater than the Sun. She became the creator of the sphere that glows around.

The “bubble” of Caldwell 11 can be thought of as a shock wave that emanates from this star and continuously recedes, the astronomers write.

The speed of the stellar wind, which carries particles from the surface of the star and helps push the “shock wave” outward, reaches millions of kilometers per hour, scientists say.

The Caldwell 11 Nebula is located approximately 7,000 light-years from Earth.

It is noted that the images helped astronomers better understand the geometry and dynamics of the cosmic body system.

The nebula NGC 7635 was first seen by astronomer William Herschel. It happened in November 1787.

According to scientists, residents of the Southern Hemisphere can see the nebula. To do this, you need to be near the equator in the fall, and look for it in the low northern sky in the spring.
