The Ministry of Education and Science updated the composition of the Board of Trustees of the International Ukrainian School, which takes care of Ukrainians who are getting an education abroad.

People’s deputy and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Roman Hryshchuk headed the board of trustees.

It also included:

▲ Serhii Koleboshyn – People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation;

▲ Valeriya Ionan – Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration;

▲ Tamila Tasheva – permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea;

▲ Andriy Shevchenko – Head of the Mission of the World Congress of Ukrainians, former Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Canada (2015-2021);

▲ Oksana Voronetska is the deputy director of the public organization International Ukrainian School of Lithuania“;

Oksana Lebedeva is the founder of the public organization Gen. Ukrainian“.

According to the minister, more than 390,000 Ukrainian schoolchildren are currently abroad.

The International Ukrainian School gives them the opportunity to study under the programs of the Ministry of Education and Culture on an external basis and to receive Ukrainian documents on education.

“Among the tasks of the Moscow State University is to increase the number of partner educational centers, improve the quality of education, find additional funding to expand the staff, and help with the use of modern electronic tools.” – reported Oksen Lisovyi.

In a comment for “UP. Life”, Roman Hryschuk called the search for the director of the Moscow State University of Applied Sciences one of the extraordinary tasks of the council, since for the last 5 years the acting director has been working in this position.

“The second is the reformatting of the processes and strategies of the development of the IMU in order to educate more children through the extramural form. After all, there are many Ukrainian children abroad, and for some, the extramural format of education is the only opportunity to keep at least some kind of connection with Ukraine.

Also, the development of the MUS platform in order to make the external form more digitized and convenient for children and parents.” – said the chairman of the board of trustees.

External form of education it’s a way of organizing teachingaccording to which the applicant learns the educational program independently.

We used to reportedthat the MES expects that the reform of higher education will start from the next academic year.
