The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine drew the attention of the MAS cosmetic brand to the name of their classic red lipstick – “Russian red”.
The department published a post with a hashtag #StopRussianRed on Twitter.
“Russian red” is the name of a popular shade, especially of the MACcosmetics brand. But it’s not about beauty or love at all. This is the color of the blood of Ukrainians who are killed by Russia every day.
This is the true color of war that no one should ever have to experience.” – says the tweet of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

MAC Russian Red is a slightly cool red with subtle blue undertones and a matte finish. Such a description of the shade can be found on many trading platforms.
The shade, which was called “Russian”, resembles the classic “Hollywood” red.
