The Ministry of Health is asking volunteer doctors to join the work in the regions affected by flooding after the Kakhovskaya HPP was blown up by the occupiers. Doctors will join the work on a voluntary basis in the Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhia regions for a period of two weeks to 30 days. A second business trip is possible no earlier than 30 days after the previous one, according to the Ministry of Health. What doctors are needed? The following specialists can join the work: anesthesiologist, therapist, pediatric traumatologist, ophthalmologist, neuropathologist, phthisis doctor, maxillofacial surgeon, neurosurgeon, hematologist, radiologist , an oncologist, a gynecologist-oncologist, a radiation therapy doctor, an emergency (emergency) doctor, nurses, etc. Specialists can be involved in strengthening medical institutions in several ways: through the head of the hospital, who submits lists of willing medical workers to be sent on business trips to provide medical care and/or rehabilitation care; independently by calling the hotline of the Ministry of Health and leaving an application for participation at the phone number: 0-800-60-20-19. In addition to wages, doctors are promised compensation for additional expenses related to their stay at the place of business, thanks to the support of the WHO Office in Ukraine. “We call on specialists who are able to join the reinforcement of colleagues, because only thanks to our solidarity and concern for each other’s needs from the first days of the war, we repel the enemy and come closer to victory,” the Ministry of Health emphasizes.
