The main leitmotif of the limited collection of t-shirts became phrases from the poems of the writer Serhiy Zhadan, and the tattoo artist Maria Fedorivna illustrated them in a minimalist style. The collection became part of the FUIB initiative “We are of one blood”, launched to support Ukrainian business and art, help Ukrainian defenders and the wounded, and promote blood donation. “Love is worth everything”, “Love, fish, love”, “To be a sunflower in the fields of Donbas is to know how to live and what to die for”, “You can’t miss happiness” – these quotes will resonate with everyone with their own meanings. White, black, beige colors with a splash of red with an invisible thread unite all of us with the desire to live and create. After all, it is creativity that supports Ukrainians’ faith in victory. Therefore, we combined the work of writer, rock musician, volunteer Serhii Zhadan with the works of the strong and feminine tattoo artist Maria Fedorivna. So for each of us, it is not just clothes, but a manifesto and an opportunity to declare: “Freedom rages in my blood, and I help those who shed their blood for it.” The social project “We are of one blood” creates a patriotic merch that saves lives every day. 50% of the cost of each product is directed to the public organizations “DonorUA”, “Blood Agents” and “Hospitaliera” for the purchase of medical equipment and equipment for paramedics, blood delivery to hot spots. “Our mission is to provide patients with high-quality blood components in a timely manner. After the full-scale invasion, the need for blood in Ukraine increased by 60%. To fully supply people with blood, at least one million donors must donate it regularly – about three times more than now. Therefore, popularization and the system of donating blood should become an important option for every Ukrainian and, in particular, for business. More blood donors = more lives saved,” DonorUA commented. Since February 24, 2022, Ukraine has been losing a lot of blood every day. Our defenders are spilling it on the battlefield, civilians are also suffering. Business and the economy are bleeding, so our task is to improve the culture of donation in Ukraine and attract as many Ukrainians as possible to support the initiative not only financially, but also by becoming blood donors for wounded soldiers and civilians of our country.
