The Kharkiv City Council renamed the railway station and 26 streets. From now on, the “Kharkiv-Balashovskyi” railway station will be called “Kharkiv-Slobidskyi”.

The corresponding decision was made by deputies at an extraordinary session on November 22, the press service of the Kharkiv City Council reports.

The renaming was carried out on the basis of the law “On Condemnation and Prohibition of Propaganda of Russian Imperial Policy in Ukraine and Decolonization of Toponymy”.

On the basis of the same law, the deputies renamed 26 streets, the names of which are associated with Russia and its allies.
