Three artists of the Lviv Opera did not return to Ukraine from the tour

Three artists of the Lviv Opera did not return to Ukraine together with the team from the tour in Finland. An official investigation was started in the theater.

In particular, we are talking about the leading soloist of the ballet Andrii Mykhalihuballet soloist Yulia Mykhalihu-Romaas well as a ballet dancer Bohdan Klyuchnykareports the publication Zahid.net.

The ballet troupe toured Estonia and Finland with the play “Don Quixote” for three weeks – from February 8 to 22.

According to the publication,all three artists informed their colleagues about their decision and said goodbye to them online. There is no information about this in the accounts of artists in social networks.

The Lviv Opera does not comment on the situation at the moment, they promise to issue a statement after the completion of the official investigation.

“As of now, we are conducting an official investigation and we will be able to provide all comments after its completion. In this situation, you need to understand very well and then come up with a balanced answer. So far we are in the process“, she said UP. Tomorrow, March 1, the play “Don Quixote” should be shown in Lviv. But the names of the three artists who did not return from Finland are not among the performers.

Their personal pages on the theater’s website were also deleted.

The recent scandal at the Lviv Opera

This is not the first scandal surrounding the Lviv Opera recently. In early February, after community outrage, the theater refused to cooperate with the opera singer Valentina Pluzhnikova. The vocalist, who during her stay in Italy on a two-year course for opera singers at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala performed on the same stage with the Russians, was replaced in the play “Carmen”, which was scheduled for February 17.

“Lviv National Opera, unfortunately, did not have complete information about the creative biography of Valentina Pluzhnikova during the negotiations regarding her participation in the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet“, said the Facebook message of the Lviv Opera, which was later replaced by an official statement.
