They plan to open language courses for the military, because it is important to use the Ukrainian language in the Armed Forces.

This was stated by the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, Taras Kremin, during a conversation with defenders from the 150th training center of the command of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to him, violations of language legislation are currently recorded both in the capital and in many regions of Ukraine.

Some of the military have already prepared their complaints against us, because violations are recorded both in the capital and in many regions of the South and East.

At the same time, they agreed to open language courses for military personnel who want to improve their knowledge and properly prepare for the exam to determine the level of proficiency in the state language.” – noted the language ombudsman.

We will remind you that in 2023, the Commissioner’s office received a record number of appeals regarding violations of the language law – almost 3,700. Most of them are in Kyiv, Kharkiv Oblast and Odesa Oblast.

The language ombudsman also called on the DBR to conduct the detention in Ukrainian. This happened after the distribution of a video showing the arrest of Roman Hrynkevich, who is suspected of supplying low-quality clothing for the Ukrainian army. In the video, the SBI employees spoke in Russian.
