Ukrainians will be given 600 scholarships for studying IT courses: who can join

The Prometheus educational platform will provide 600 scholarships to internally displaced persons to take IT courses.
Scholarships cover training in the most in-demand IT professions: Java, Frontend, QA Manual, QA Auto, DevOps and UX/UI.
“In the conditions of war, economic crisis and the popularization of remote work, we see a constant increase in the demand for training in IT specialties. In order to support residents of the frontline and liberated territories of Ukraine, we have joined forces with the most experienced experts and the largest IT companies and created affordable interactive online programs, the purpose of which is to help everyone who wants to go from getting to know the industry to getting their first job in IT.”– note the organizers.
There are 6 scholarship programs available on Prometheus, for which registration is already open. It will last until October 7 inclusive.

The organizers note that these courses are developed together with employers, so the knowledge will be as applicable as possible to future work.
Each trainee will additionally have the opportunity to take an English course for beginners in IT and guidance on how to find their first job in this field.
Who can get a scholarship?
Residents and internally displaced persons who, at the time of application, live in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions can apply for free training.
And:
- veterans and their family members (parents, spouse, children);
- Ukrainian men and women who lost their jobs as a result of the war;
- Ukrainian men and women whose homes or housing were damaged as a result of Russian military aggression;
- internally displaced persons;
- other vulnerable categories of the population.
Those who suffered from the war, but do not belong to the specified categories, but live in the front-line territories, can also apply. They will be enrolled subject to the availability of free seats.
Before admission, you will also need to describe your motivation to study and make maximum efforts to pass the course.
What courses can be taken
🔸Java Beginner course
The training covers one, but the most popular programming language, Java. In 17 weeks, you can get knowledge that will allow you to work in the digital sphere.
🔸Frontend. Basic course from Ciklum
In this 16-week course, you can learn to design, create and fill websites and web applications.
🔸Course “QA Manual Tester”
This course is for those who want to learn the basics of software testing and ace their first technical interview.
🔸Course “QA Auto Tester”
In this course, students learn Python, a programming language for beginners. The training lasts 11 weeks.
🔸Course “DevOps and Kubernetes. Practical intensive”
The knowledge in the course will help you become a DevOps engineer. The training will last 10 weeks.
🔸 UX/UI Design Basic course
Suitable for those who want to create graphic products. The training lasts 15 weeks.
The courses were created together with well-known IT companies: GlobalLogic, Ciklum, Intellias, EPAM. The program is implemented with the support of the USAID “Strengthening Public Trust (UCBI)” project of the United States Agency for International Development.
We will remind you that a scholarship named after the fallen soldier “Da Vinci” was launched at the Ukrainian Catholic University.
