The Ukrainian Catholic University took first place in the ranking of IT universities. This was reported by the DOU IT portal, which for the first time since the start of the full-scale war created a ranking of the 20 best IT universities that produce IT specialists. Educational institutions were evaluated according to three indicators: the level of graduates’ salaries, their knowledge of English, and their impression of the educational process and its results. First place was taken by the Ukrainian Catholic University. The average salary of its graduates is 3.7 thousand dollars, the level of knowledge of English among graduates is 83%. Also, students and graduates are ready to recommend it to others: the average rating is 9.3 points out of 10. Semyon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics is in second place in the rating. Third place was shared by Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Odesa National University. Mechnikova. Top twenty IT universities according to DOU Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which is the largest IT university in Ukraine, took the 8th position in the rating. “Despite the high salaries, students and graduates of KPI are skeptical about their university. Their willingness to recommend it received 6.4 points out of 10, which is below the average level for all universities,” says the DOU. In general, the average salary of IT specialists is 2.8 thousand dollars, and the level of knowledge of English is 51%. A survey of students showed that 79% of current students-future students of Ukrainian universities study entirely online. At the same time, 34% of students consider face-to-face learning more effective, and 30% – distance learning.
